Due to surface effect,the aggregation of nanometer powder could be formed when using the conventional drying techniques.The supercritical fluid drying(SCFD) technique is one of the most important ways to prepare aerogel and nanometer particle,which have high surface areas and pore volumes,low densities as well as low thermal conductivities.

This paper introduced the properties of supercritical fluid,the study progress of supercritical fluid drying technique and the effect factors on the supercritical fluid drying process,described the application of supercritical fluid drying technique on the preparation of nanometer materials,and pointed out the control technology and matters of needing attention.All these established a solid base to deepen the theoretical study and widen application for the supercritical fluid drying technique.
